Lucius is hard at work making a Halloween costume. I thought this was strange and mentioned it to a fellow parent at work and he responded with “oh, Owen’s going to be Ace Ventura and already has the tutu.”
Things like this make me wish some holidays weren’t annual. I’m not one of those people that wishes every day was like Christmas but more costumed holidays and festivities are always welcome around these parts.

An octopus I came across on a dive sometimes referred to as a “blackwater hang.” About three miles off the coast of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

That might be slightly paraphrased but I was too busy swooning to really memorize every word.
